Hugging a Sheet of Plywood

Hopefully you're aware that Father's Day is quickly approaching. Maybe the idea of getting a Frosty for your dad sounds fun - or maybe - you'd rather not talk to him. Thankfully, both my husband and I have good relationships with our dads.

If you have a less than perfect relationship with either of your parents, you will be encouraged to hear this brief podcast from Nuclearity: Hugging a Sheet of Plywood. [BTW, Nuclearity is one of my favorite podcasts but you don't have to undersand podcasts to listen. Just go to the site and click on the orange-ish arrow to listen.]

The guest, Michael Easley (resigned from the Presidency of Moody Bible Institute , effective June 30), describes the difficulty and reward in loving a parent who doesn’t seem to be interested in maintaining a relationship.

Hubby and I have a HUGE amount of respect for Michael Easley. He and his wife are godly people who are adoption advocates.
