Robinson Crusoe

Robinson Crusoe (written 1719-20) has been the tool to turn off my brain at night. Thought the below quote was rather insightful.  If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it.

From whence I have often since observed, how incongruous and irrational the common temper of mankind is, especially of youth, to that reason which ought to guide them in such cases, viz., that they are not ashamed to sin, and yet are ashamed to repent; not ashamed of the action, for which they ought justly to be esteemed fools; but are ashamed of the returning, which only can make them esteemed wise men.

I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog on Works-for-Me Wednesday. My oldest and Youngest read Robinson Crusoe two years ago and they loved it. We then searched for the movie and finally found one (that wasn't the Disney production) that was pretty true to the book. Loved it! Sparked the imagination of Youngest!
