Hubby and I put the finishing touches on the punchable Advent calendar last night. We used plastic cups and covered them with tissue paper, for the best punchablity (is that a word?). Thankfully, Mr. Intensity liked it and I think the effort was worth it.

What fun!! Are there pieces of chocolate inside??
I hope there all kinds of handy stuff inside, a screw, nut and bolt, bungy elastic? I loved his Jesus too - my lad, had Baby Jesus reffing a footie match yesterday, who knows what adventures baby Jesus will get up to today...
Inside: random bits. The advent calendar to which I linked had each day laid out with a trinket. Some stickers, a marble, sand, quarter, pictures, random household objects - that are leading towards a question that I ask after he opens each day, then we read a passage in the Bible relating to Jesus (not always Christmas themed).
An advent calendar that you punch is pretty much the best homemade advent calendar I have ever seen.
My son has Sensory Processing Disorder & this is just awesome! Affordable & not to sound totally cheap, but I'd put the same cups in the Christmas bin to reuse the next year. Kudos on the awesome project!
