My heart stopped. In a few minutes I leave to go pick up Mr. Intensity from the homeschool co-op. There was an email in my inbox from his teacher. The subject line was his name. Unfortunately my first thought was, "Oh no - what has this child done....now?!" It wasn't, "Oh, I wonder what good behavior award he won today?"
Below is part of her email:

...Your son CRACKED me up today. Walt was showing his Playmobile red coated man [for show and tell]. He said it was a Boston soldier. So I began a discussion of the Revolutionary War and how the Americans called the British “red coats." Your son pops up and says “That’s not very good camouflage!” Cori and I just looked at each other and had a good laugh.
What a smart boy. Red is NOT very good camo.
Hilarious. Hope you laughed, too.

Whew, he wasn't in trouble. He loves camo.

What a great story!! I love it!! (And you know I sympathize with the fear that he had misbehaved.)
that is awesome!
Been praying for you and your pregnancy! Hope everything is going well :)
wow, that's great! i teach from the abeka history curriculum at our school and we learned in our study of daniel boone that the british soldiers didn't want to "fight like indians" which meant hiding behind trees because they thought it was cowardly. we then talked about how soldiers today wear camo.
