This recipe tastes just like the peanut butter cups you buy in the store! My sister halved the recipe using a smaller pan and it worked fine. This is also great for cooking with kids. It's a wonderful dessert to make in the summer, when you don't want to heat the kitchen.
Peanut Butter Cups
2 sticks butter, melted (please don't use margarine)
2 1/2 cups graham crackers, finely crushed. I used my food processor and a special bammer: Combine in mixing bowl.
Add...
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 t. vanilla
Stir until combined. Spread into a 9 X 13 pan.
Melt 6 oz. milk chocolate chips (I used the microwave a few seconds at a time, stirring each time). I also added a few tablespoons of half and half to make it creamier.
Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter layer. Chill. Before cutting into bars let it sit on the counter a few minutes.
After this I came to the computer to download the pictures. I *thought* he was safe b.c he was licking the chocolate off the bowl. I *should* have immediately gone into the kitchen when I heard him playing with the hand mixer. But I didn't. Until, I heard, "ow! OW! OWIE!"

I will have to try this recipe! My husband would love it...Josh not so much, he hates chocolate! Crazy kid!
When I was in 5th grade I got one of those brush curling irons caught in my hair and my friend pulled it out! VERY PAINFUL! I had a huge bald spot.
Thanks for sharing that recipe! I cannot wait to try it. Someone just came over and brought us Peanut Butter so I feel I can use it...two jars. I am in heaven!
That JI keeps you on your toes, doesn't he? I think Jasper is going to be this way... however I did post about Eli using his car that spins it's wheels on Jasper's head and got his hair all caught it the wheels. Amazing.
I just heard a sermon about how a group of MOPS mom's wanted my pastor to come speak on the differences of raising girls and boys and he said girls you are to teach to be pure and gentle etc... and boys you are just to teach how to survive. It was tongue and cheek but very true!
I love the expression on his face when he is holding the bammer!
So sorry about his hair! I am glad he is okay.
That picture of him asleep on the floor is so sweet.
I have a friend who would totally flip for this recipe!
Just looking at that knot in the hair makes me hurt.
