The REAL Reason We're Here

This is John's Bible study method's class, it's one of 15 small groups. He's the handsome hunk in the gray collared shirt. I had the privilege of joining them today at Rollins College. Mr. Intensity stayed at the hotel with another family and went to the pool. (Or, the code word is LOOP when we don't want him to know what we're talking about. :)

Although the group may look terribly homogeneous, they are quite diverse - at least as far as traveling. They've ministered and lived all over the globe. One guy is from Spain and is marrying an American; they'll go back to Spain eventually. One couple is going to tell people about Jesus in Serbia. The guy in the brown shirt grew up in Hungary. The guy standing to John's left is 1/2 Swiss; he speaks English and French.

Hubby did a masterful job of leading the initial discussion on the book of Ephesians. It's been nine years since I came on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. So many good memories flooded my brain this morning.

Part of John's job as a teacher/faciliatator for this small group is getting to know them on a personal level. He gets to eat lunch with a few everyday. It was fun for me to get to know four of them today and I hope to get to do it again before we leave.

I am reading a Navigator's book on bible study methods... does John have an outline or any books to recommend to me? (I am sure he does since this is what he's teaching :) I am wanting to broaden my Bible reading/study.

Hi...I tried to leave a comment last week but don't think it posted. I sat next to you and John Isaac a week ago on the plane to St. Louis. I gave my wife and mother-in-law your blog address...we want to start doing something like this for our little Grace. Anyway, hope you get this one and sounds like the trip is fun!
