He worked for a while - but it frustrated him that the pipe cleaners wouldn't stay in the straws or that the angles weren't perfect. Maybe he was being too rough.
I sat beside him and tried my hand at making concentric pentagons and helped when he asked. However, we didn't last long. It was just too frustrating for him and consequently, me. I'm not sure what we could have done differently. I put the supplies away and will pull them out again.

I found that using two pipe cleaners together worked better. Or you can buy really fat pipe cleaners or narrower straws. It is frustrating when they dont stay in place. Little-N found that difficult too, but once we doubled the pipe cleaners he found it much easier. Hope this helps.
