Helicopter Ride

Of all the things we've seen and done in Kentucky, this ranks the highest on Mr. Intensity's "pure fun list."

We took a ride in a helicopter. Someone we know owns one.

Look how stoked the Lil General was.

Hubby rode as co-pilot and even flew solo for a few seconds (until I was too green to endure more.)
And me, well I was pumped until we hit our first tiny wave of turbulance and wanted to hurl.

First thing, we flew over Natural Bridge. We hiked here this summer. I've highlighted in yellow the "bridge" for my photography skills are below average. My hometown is even more beautiful from the air.

We were in the air for about an hour when the pilot said, "We need to land soon and refuel." I wanted nothing more than to get my body on the ground. At the same time, my guys were having so much fun I didn't want to land.
Mr. Intensity LOVED helping refuel. I loved sitting on the ground.

That looks like so much fun. I've always wanted to ride in a helicopter!! But it is usually very expensive - great to know someone who owns one!!

That is so cool!!! Was it a totally different experience than a plane (other than the noise?)
