Works for Me

My friend Holly brought a salad to my house the other day.  She'd made a yummy dressing and put it in a jar that previously held store-bought salad dressing.

Genius.

Below is how I easily removed the stickers from a balsamic vinegar jar I'd been saving.
If you fill your jar with SUPER HOT water, it heats the glue and the label comes right off.
Repeat: super HOT WATER.  Not hot water from the tap.  Heat some water in your kettle.  Let it sit in your jar at least a minute then try to remove label.  Wait longer if it doesn't come off easily.  If it goes wayward, like below, just use your nail to scratch it off.

This jar's label came off easily because I used HOT water.  I tried it again on a salsa jar (and used tap water b.c I was too lazy to heat my water) and it didn't work as well.  I ended up soaking the salsa jar and scrubbing it with a Pampered Chef tool.

Wait!  But that's not all that works for me.  There's more.

Cheeseslave posted an informative article on coconut oil lowering cholesterol and improving thyroid function.  Must read.  Since reading, I've been adding a teaspoon of coconut oil to my coffee.  Yumm-o.  My lips are uber soft now.  Yesterday I put a bit in our oatmeal. OH my.  You gotta try that.  Another way we eat coconut oil is when I pop popcorn, at least 3x a week.  Cheap Healthy alternative to chips.

[If you want to order coconut oil, the best price and quality is from Mountain Rose Herbs.  For eating, buy unrefined, cold pressed.]

In other health news, Kelly the Kitchen wrote Suffering from Digestive System Problems?  If you or anyone you love have been diagnosed with Crohns, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, Colitis, chronic constipation or other digestive disorder, it's well worth the read.

One last reminder:  tonight is 31 cent night at Baskin Robbins!! So much for my no-GMO pledge, eh?  As, I'm quite sure most of the flavors have corn syrup as sweeteners.

That's a cool idea-- I'll have to try it!
