Five States Today

We drove through Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas today.

Heading west on I-64 nearing St. Louis, Mr. Intensity spotted the Gateway to the West. He was adamant about stopping to see the Arch. It was about lunch time so we stopped.

First I went inside the Hyatt to use the girls' room. When I came back, Mr. Intensity was giving change to cab drivers on break - it had been burning a hole in his pocket! They, in turn, gave him $1 each!

The boy never meets a stranger.

Views from the cab:
And proof that he actually fell asleep. I think the grandparents sufficiently wore him out.
Tomorrow: Abilene, Kansas for Eisenhower's Presidential Library then on to Colorado Springs. It is my hope to have dinner at the Flying W Ranch.

Monday we'll tour Focus on the Family. Mr. Intensity is especially excited about touring Adventures in Odyssey and having lunch at Whit's End. Then we'll head north to Ft. Collins for the National Staff Conference.
