My Son is Weird

We went to Atlanta over the weekend to visit Hubby's brother and family. Packages were waiting when we got home.

The first package, the most exciting, was from Grandpa and Magaw Majors. Just because. It was a leather belt and real gun holster. Oh my. Fits the cap gun perfectly. He loves it.

The second package, the expected one, and the one that makes him weird was a Rosetta Stone German language course. Giddy, I say, the child is giddy about learning German. I don't understand it. My mom had me take private German lessons in high school and it was torture. From the moment I walked in the door, my teacher only spoke German.

Mr. Intensity is another story. He is loving German. Thank you Rosetta Stone. It's a great program.

I love that your son is weird and that you are embracing that fact! Learning a foreign language young is the way to go... especially if he's already super interested. :)

I'm working on learning some Swedish, but haven't been doing it consistently enough for it to really stick. I'd like to be a bit ahead when I move and have to start language school.

Too funny- don't you just love those unique and quirky qualities!!! I am proud of JI- he may be a gifted linguist. thought about having lauren learn a foreign language -but thinking is as far as I have gotten.

I am so excited for him! Sorry you had a bad experience with learning German. It is exciting that he wants to learn and that John C. is learning with him. Who know where and when God might use him because of this? Wish I were there to learn also.

How I wish we would have gotten to know each other before you moved back home. Think JI and Z would be a perfect fit. Plus JI could teach Z a thing or two about wanting to learn a new language.
