My mom is here now, and she also enjoyed the ice cream. I'm thankful to have her here. Today was a day full of appointments and I didn't have to drag Mr. Intensity with me. She filled his love tank at bedtime tonight by telling him stories while laying down with him. The boy never tires of people -or- stories.
Eleven days until Caroline's due date, May 10. Mr. Intensity was born six days early. So does that mean she will come in five days? Who knows. Mom and I hope it is before the due date because Mom's flight home is the 7th.
The obstetrician told me I was 50% effaced and dilated to a "one" but that really means nada until I'm in labor. It's just disappointing that I've been contracting since week 20 and not progressed more. One area in which I've excelled: packing on 28 pounds. I thought it was more but am very happy with 28. I just hope that Caroline is only 8lbs - or less. Mr. Intensity was 9lbs 7oz. Ouch. I gained at least 35 with him.
Tomorrow is Mr. Intensity's last day at Homeschool Academy; Monday he graduated from Comm. Central. Mom and I hope to get some sewing finished as well as a handful of other pre-baby preparations.
One final thing - last Saturday some ladies at my church honored us with a diaper shower. I thought I'd write a whole post about it but at this point I probably won't. However, it was really lovely. Two wise mothers of adult daughters gave short devotions on being a mother of a daughter and it was a sweet time. I felt very loved.
I can't wait to meet Caroline!
