Feminine Friday

Sister is two weeks old today and is sporting a new accessory: the headband. While not pink, it matches the yellow duckies on her dress.

The knot can also be worn on the side.

Or '80s style as a sweat band. Peace, y'all.

"Mom!! This is a dirty rotten trick! Mom - are you there?!"

And in honor of Feminine Friday, my 3 year old neice (HGEM) got a pedicure by Grandma Majors.

Big brother was rewarded on this day with a trip to Cupcakes on Kavanaugh. (Momma's first real outing since Sister's birth.) He finished his 90th reading lesson. We've been a bit distracted lately and needed a bit of motivation. Sugar always helps.

Awww, that is so cute! Caroline is really stylin'. We don't have any baby headbands yet, and your posts are inspiring me to get moving on that. :)

I am curious to know what reading you are using for Kindergarten. Thanks for letting me know!

Haley - we've been using: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. It was recommended to me by a veteran (25 years!) homeschooling mom and has been a great investment of time. Another homeschooling mom (who was trained as an elem. teacher) also recommended it to me.
