Finding Things

This week I've found ordinary, as well as not so ordinary, things at my house.

Silly Bands

Treasures from the washer:

Turtle in the back yard.

Tarantula in the kitchen!!

This morning's surprise - a dried frog. It was under a seat in the van; I thought it was an action figure when I pulled it out. Surprise!!!

I have no idea how it got there. It had a sticker stuck between the bone and (dried) muscle. Poor thing.

What have you found this week?

Your post cracked me up because I found a smooshed lizard on my front porch the other day! It's been under a decorative rock by the front door for a month or two, and I kept noticing the tail and thinking it was a dried, curled up leaf. Moved the rock the other day and it's a poor, flat lizard. Also found a dead mouse at the back door, courtesy of our cat, and a black widow in the chicken coop. Critters everywhere, I assume because we don't use chemicals in our yard.

Hi Julie,
Lucas wants to know if JI is keeping the turtle as a pet. :)

Kiara, tell Lucas the only pet JI will ever have (hopefully) is a backyard chicken. :)

LOL I hear you! But if you ever give in, I do recommend a backyard rabbit. Ours is so tame he comes to us to be petted, and sometimes hops around the house with the kids when the door is open. :)

So, where did the turtle end up?

You know, I don't think I'd go outside again if I were you.

Oooh, I totally need to do a post like this!

But that tarantula?!! You have GOT to be kidding me. Uuuuuuuuugggghhhh!!! Freakin' me OUT!!!!! I would probably never be the same again if that had been in my house. And I've had some pretty freaky things crawl into mine!
