Feminine Friday

Just after we were robbed, we left for a planned trip to Phoenix. It was a bit crazy getting out of town, getting windows repaired, etc., but we made it to the airport and had an uneventful flight to AZ. We stayed with our good friends Chris & Rachael Davis - and their 3 kids. Below is their oldest, Sophia, and Sister.

We enjoyed the sun at a park one day.

The Davises live in urban Phoenix yet have 3 milk goats and 6 chickens.

Mr. Intensity's favorite day was visiting the awesome Children's Museum.

New to us was the climbing structure (above) and fort room (below).

We came bearing unusual gifts:
-20lb pastured turkey, complete with feet and giblets.
-3 packages of chicken feet (for making broth)
-1.5 lbs of grass fed beef
-5lbs of rendered tallow (thx, HB!)

With the tallow, we had the most incredible French fries!!

And while they're not in the picture below, we met my dad's cousin and his wife (Steve & Janel Smith) at Chipotle. The last time I saw them was at our wedding, 11years ago. Before that, I spent 6 weeks with their family in Germany when I was a freshman in high school.

I don't have feminine pictures from the most recent Friday. We were unpacking from our trip.

However I have pictures of Brother from Thursday, traveling. First

is of him talking the arms and legs off the pilots.

Hubby couldn't make out what was being said. But mr. Intensity went on his own initiative to talk with the pilots and stayed for a long time.

Secondly, he randomly struck up a conversation with a police officer at the Little Rock airport. The officer was a good 'ole boy and had a good time talking with Mr. Intensity. Cracks me up.

Thanks for the pictures. I am glad you had a good time there. I love the picture of Sofia and Caroline. Looks like they really enjoyed each other.
Does JI meet the dictionary definition of extrovert or what?!! And adults just seem to love him! So cute!
