Early Father's Day

I was so stinkin' excited about the completed project, I had to give hubby his Father's Day gift early.

The idea originated from a contest on Megret's blog. I loved the etsy shop she showcased. I couldn't justify buying stationary for myself...but my mother-in-love had a birthday coming.

Vana, the designer of Le Papier Studio had mostly silhouettes of girly things or several children, so I asked if she could do something boy-ish. Yep, she does custom work [I give her 3 thumbs up for customer service! It was really wonderful to work with her.]

All I had to do was take a silhouette of Mr. Intensity. Easier said than done...but it was accomplished after about fifty bazillion unsuccessful shots.

When I saw what Vana did with the silhouette on the card - I knew I had to have more!!
So, I printed the picture then traced around it. Went to Michael's where I bought black paper, gingham (for the background) and a matted 11x14 frame. The opening is 8x10. It was so simple. Once the supplies were in hand, it took all of 15 minutes to cut out and frame.

As my grandmother would say, "I'm happy as a 'coon up a tree with the axe lost."

If you decide to do this - please - send me a picture (or leave a link to your post).
