Friday & Saturday Fun

Call me crazy. Friday morning, about 9:30, I decided to take Mr. Intensity to the zoo. Why is that so crazy? The temperature was already aproaching 100.

Lucas joined us. The two boys played in the creek (at the zoo) for two hours. Note the mast/sail they made from palm tree scraps they found on the ground. I think they could have played the entire day but I was sweating like crazy. They both brought home a cup full of rocks and other treasures they found in the creek. We ate so many snacks at the zoo that we weren't hungry when we came home. But we were HOT - so we went to the pool. It felt like bath water. Seriously - I think the water is at least 90* maybe 95. There should be a law against pool water so hot.

After swimming Mr. Intensity ate a PB & honey sandwich on the patio and we watched the big trucks working in the parking lot.

Friday night we prepared for birthday parties. Below the guys are painting on the wrapping paper.

After lil Mr. went to bed, I worked on some freezer paper stencil projects. The tractor shirt goes to a nephew and one of the stegosaurus shirts went to a b-day boy. Mr. Intensity also wanted a stegosaurus shirt - so he could be like his friend. I didn't tell him, but in two weeks, he's going to an arena show with dinosaurs with this friend. I thought it would be fun if they had matching shirts.

This morning we went to a dinosaur birthday party.

This afternoon we went to a second b-day party - robot theme.

Mr. Intensity played musical chairs for the first time and loved it.

He ate waaaaay too much sugar today. But we sure had fun.
