Spider Party

Mr. Intensity turns four today. FOUR?! Where have the 1,460 days gone?

Per his request, we're having a Spiderman party. I don't understand his infatuation with Spiderman. He's never seen the movie or a cartoon.

We made the charming spiders from egg cartons and pipe cleaners and have hung them all around the house. He had so much fun helping to decorate. I predict the runaway favorite will be the "spiderweb hallway" to the bathroom. It's made of crepe paper, gift wrapping ribbon, white yarn, and bits of tulle. Quite the sensory experience, if I do say so myself.

The birthday party games I've planned (which are always subject to change):
  • pin the spider in the web
  • spider, spider, spider MAN! (think: duck, duck, goose)
  • Spiderman version of Hullabaloo
  • pinata
  • obstacle course
  • let them eat cake!

I thought JI was older than Eli. I guess ELi is older by a couple of months. Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JI and your party sounds fun! What a good mom. Eli doesn't like spiders or spiderman, he thinks he looks scary. Ha ha.

When you say "let them eat cake" is that a game too, and if so what is that?

"let them eat cake" is just eating cake. I figure for the kiddos, it's a game of "how much can I get on the floor?" If it were cooler (less than 100*), we'd eat outside.

Happy Birthday John Isaac!! The time does go so quickly!! I think little boys just are born with a thing for super heroes. Isaac has never seen any show or movie about them but that is what is it all about now!!

Hope the party was a huge success!!
