Handwriting Without Tears

Last week I bought a new notebook for Mr. Intensity, with hopes that it would inspire him to write more. Or, should I say, for me to concentrate on helping him learn to write better?

Nonetheless, the new notebook - designed with drawing room - was presented this morning. With great enthusiasm he began, loving the plot of the story. However it was too long for our first attempt at copy work. I think he was frustrated because we haven't really worked on lowercase letters, so we shortened the story to one sentence.

Then I got up from the table to flitter around the house, trying to tidy up from being gone for 10 days. He kept asking me to spell words. When I finally came to my senses, I realized he was writing his own story!
Over a year ago, I bought a kit which included the groovin' CD and wooden pieces for letters. I love the Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum and highly recommend it.
