Random Assortment of Info

The Noodle Forrest is standing once again at the Children's Museum.  We went on Friday and were so excited to get to play in it.  Very fun, indeed.  Oodles of noodles for the ultimate sensory experience.  Highly recommended.

Saturday morning's yard sale was a $250 success.  Interesting to note: hardly of any of my stuff sold.  Thankfully my friends bailed me out with sale-worthy goods.

Mr. Intensity opened his first hot chocolate stand, complete with Krispy Kreme and haystacks.  As the shoppers were browsing, he would scream: "HOT CHOCOLATE! SWEET TREATS!!" even if they were only 5 feet away.  The boy has no comprehension of the word shy.

Sunday the guys dressed semi-alike again.  Mr. Intensity is really into being like Daddy these days.  Thanks to John Wells' hand-me-downs, Mr. Intensity's dreams are coming true.

It was a cloudy day. We turned our heat on for the first time.

Today we made play dough - green scented wintergreen and red peppermint.  Off and on he played with it for 2 hours.  Amazing.

Orange pomander = YUM.  Every room of my house needs one.  Directions here and here.  Mr. Intensity sat still while doing it.  Great for the fine motor skills and concentration.

Finally: puppy chow.  Love it.  I think Mr. Intensity ate too much of it yesterday.  Maybe it was from too many haystacks, too.  He threw up before going to bed but was find today.  Because of this, I was able to convince him to give a bag of it to the mailman postal worker.

The one bag that looks different than the rest?  Um, he broke it.  Not sure how a plastic bag breaks, but he was rough enough with it that it broke.  Actually, he broke two bags = big mess.  SOOOO so SOOO soooooo many things have been broken this weekend that I stopped counting at 10. Maybe he's going through a growth spurt.

Tomorrow we're going to see a production of the Velveteen Rabbit.

That puppy chow recipe sounds yummy - I'll have to try that one!

The haystacks are a BIGtime favorite in my family. One time I bought a store-brand version of Cheerios that my girls wouldn't touch (the texture was just all off) - I made batch after batch (after batch!) of "cheerio" haystacks, and they were just as good. The best part? No pokes in the roof of your mouth from the chow mein noodles :)

Still praying that the adoption goes through, and smoothly.

I love the picture of JI and John C.! How fun to dress like Daddy. I noticed the camo shirt is his shirt of choice. He is such a fun guy. Maybe you could stand him outside and have him yell, "house for sale"!!!
