Our realtor just called (6pm, Friday) to say that our house passed appraisal. Which means we're one step closer to closing escrow. Yay!!!! We were very concerned that in this market it wouldn't pass.
Also, it looks like our apartment hunting friend in Little Rock stumbled upon an amazing (God sized!) deal of a HOUSE in our price range. Three bedroom brick house in a not-scary neighborhood (Rodney Parham area, near McAlister's). The only glitch is the owner wants us to sign a 2-yr lease, which we didn't really want to do....but we'll see.
John's mom arrived today. It's been a whirlwind day. My living room is transformed and looks like we're moving....in SIX days. Yikes!
