Air Museum

Those are my men...standing next to the presidential seal on Air Force One!  (psst: don't mind the rusted screws or the belly showing.)

We went to the Pima Air & Space Museum today, near Tucson.

Mr. Intensity loved his reunion with Eli (& sis, Audrey).

Hubby loved seeing all the WWII planes, as well as the SR71 (that flew coast to coast in 64 minutes!)  However, the highlight of the day was getting to play on this tank like thing.
Since it was President's Day, the Boneyard was closed but could still drive past the fields of parked planes.  The picture is from their website.  Like a junk yard, the planes are parked there to be used for parts. The dry AZ climate helps to keep the metal from rusting.
Ten more days until we move to Arkansas!  I better get packing and stop being a tourist.  :)

It is so much fun to be a tourist in your own town, expecially when you soon won't get teh chance to visit all these neat places.

ARE THOSE REAL AIRPLANES ON THE GROUND? That's so many of them! Crazy. Was that shot from in the air?

Lauren - yes, those are real planes on the ground. Soooo many of them, we only saw part of the collection from the road. Some even from Somalia and Norway (probably other countries, too). And yes, the shot was from the air.
