A new friend of ours has a zoo membership and invited us to join them.We went early, the weather was nice, and the animals were active!
It never fails to surprise me, the things that capture his attention. Mr. Intensity and his friend (who's also a spirited child) picked wild strawberries for at least an hour. If we'd told them, "stay in this little area and pick strawberries" we would have had quite the revolt. I enjoyed talking with the other momma.
Not only did they pick strawberries, but they also had rocket blasters on their shoes all while waving magic wands (with bombs, I think.) Mr. Intensity's friend walked away with quite the stash of berries.
Highlight of the day was feeding lorikeets...until one pinched his finger.
Last stop - the bird show. They're posing with an eagle.
